Since he uses powder steel in his knives, the need for hot forging is not critical. It is a very stable steel with a well-distributed grain that simply does not need hot forging with a power hammer. For this reason, he enlists the help of Takefu Tokushu Steel, which laser-cuts the blade shape and heat-treats the steel.
