Let us take care of your kitchen knives. We have extensive experience of hand sharpening, and our reputation in the industry stands up to scrutiny.

1. Select the number of knives to send in for sharpening in the box below.

2. Once you have purchased this service, we will send you a prepaid shipping label by email.

3. Print the shipping label and tape it to your parcel.

4. Drop off the parcel at your nearest DHL service point.

5. A few days later, you can collect the parcel containing your freshly sharpened knives!

We sharpen by hand on Japanese whetstones. In some cases, we also use a variable-speed, water-cooled belt grinder, for example when a blade needs thinning or when a large chip in the edge needs repairing. We always finish on a whetstone for maximum sharpness.

We primarily use Shapton Rockstar and Shapton PRO whetstones. We select the grit of the finishing stone after assessing the knife's steel, thinness and condition. Sometimes we stop at 2000 grit, sometimes at 6000 grit, and for a fine carbon-steel knife we use Japanese natural stones to maximize the knife's performance. 

*Please note that the service does not include knives with extremely large chips. Damaged tips and ordinary chips of up to a few millimetres are fine, but more extensive edge restoration incurs an additional charge.

*Please note that we do not accept hairdressing scissors or straight razors.
