In this solution you get both a sink bridge and a stone holder. It is of course fine to use either or, but there are clear advantages to indulging in both a sink bridge and a holder:

1. The device is raised a bit higher, which is nice for those who are tall.

2. You eliminate the risk of hitting the set screws with your fingers, especially if you have thin stones like Shapton.

3. If you turn the side of the holder with the set screws towards you, you get a few degrees of negative tilt that follows the natural range of motion. Remove the screws completely if you want horizontal sharpening.

It is adjustable to fit all stones, and sinks up to 45.4 cm deep. (For the super rig solution, a sink at least 34 cm deep is required). You won't make a mess in the kitchen because you're directly above the sink, and most importantly, you always get fresh water on the stone. This is otherwise a problem, as dirty water contains coarser abrasive particles that degrade the result when polishing to a fine finish.

The two outer blocks are attached to the inside of the sink with a simple screw. Then the bridge itself is in place. After that, you adjust the two inner blocks to fit the stone so that it also lies firmly in place.

NOTE: The holder and sink bridge work just as well on a completely flat surface, i.e. as a regular sharpening stone holder.

NOTE: The round set screws on the stone holder have low rust protection. We recommend unscrewing them after use, drying them thoroughly, and oiling them.
