This is a pure finishing stone. The edge becomes shiny and super sharp at this stage.

The stone provides good feedback as it is relatively soft. This means it requires a lot of water and needs to be soaked in a water bath for about 10-15 minutes before sharpening. Thanks to the stone being somewhat softer, compared to, for example, Shapton, it relatively quickly generates "slurry" (sharpening paste) which facilitates the sharpening process, especially if you are sharpening the blade sides and want a homogeneously covering kasumi finish.
